Slate Bathroom Tile Ideas
Cut from metamorphic rocks, stone made of sedimentary materials by extreme heat and press deep down in the earth’s crust. Slate bathroom tile is dense, durable, has a fine grain and comes in a variety of color combinations. Its most characteristic features are its natural earthy appearance and smooth consistency. It is also easy to clean and maintain. Note that some slate tiles are completely slippery when wet, therefore not suitable for floor coverings.
Slate is available in blue shades from smoked gray-blue to pale turquoise. For a modern, cool, watery oasis, use blue-tone slate bathroom tile on the walls and surround walls of a large slate-tiled whirlpool. Continue sliding the wall throughout a spacious door-less shower area and separate toilet and sink vanity from the bath area with a finger wall of the same style. To complete the effect of a blue cave, incorporate ferns and orchids into the design.
Use black slate bathroom tile on walls, floor and ceiling to achieve a shiny and very smart modernism. Bathing surrounds should be judged so well and an all-glass shower cabinet emphasizes modern geometric design. A pony wall separates the toilet from the rest of the room, but allows the user to visually enjoy the whole room. For final effect, use chrome-finish faucets, luminaries and towel racks decked with vibrant single-colored linens. Keep this design minimalist for the greatest effect.
